Perry Ellis International signs partnership with the NHL & NHLPA for 4 Nations Face-Off

Perry Ellis International, Inc. (PEI) has entered into a partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) for the official 4 Nations Face-Off in the United States.

Through this new partnership, the parent company of Original Penguin and Perry Ellis is set to introduce its style and brand’s philosophy to the NHL community while simultaneously enhancing its presence within the sporting realm.

Set to cover touchpoints on and off the ice, the new partnership sees Perry Ellis providing custom bespoke looks for USA NHL players as they compete in the 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament. Featuring NHL players from Canada, Finland, Sweden, and the United States, the 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament will take place from February 12 to 20, 2025, with the Bell Centre in Montreal and TD Garden in Boston acting as the host venues and cities for the seven-game tournament.

“As a brand, we’re increasingly finding ourselves drawn to the incredible communities in sport,” said Oscar Feldenkreis, president and CEO of Perry Ellis International, Inc., in a statement. “After years of reimagining our modern, All-American style and finding success in other sports partnerships, we are thrilled to be teaming up with the NHL and NHLPA to continue demonstrating how fashion is driving a cultural movement within the sports community.”

Aiming to raise each USA player’s personal style during the tournament, Perry Ellis’s branding will also be featured on NHL’s Digitally Enhanced Dashboards during all nationally televised 4 Nations Face-Off games on ABC, ESPN, and TNT, with in-arena branding at the Boston games.

In addition, Perry Ellis will connect with NHL fans at the 4 Nations Face-Off Fan Village in Boston from February 15 to 17, 2025. Fans will be able to explore the latest collection and enjoy a free caricature while trying on their favorite looks, with additional details set to be revealed at a later date.

“We are excited to welcome Perry Ellis to the NHL family to engage our passionate fans in the United States around 4 Nations Face-Off,” said Max Paulsen, NHL vice president of global business development, in a statement. “The brand has done a tremendous job bridging the cultural intersection of sports and fashion, and this breakthrough partnership allows our League to be a part of that greater conversation.”

Starting this NHL season, Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk will take center stage as Perry Ellis’ Off-Ice Ambassador, promoting key products for hockey fans. Tkachuk will also be featured in exclusive content, including photos and videos, throughout the season.

“Perry Ellis has done an excellent job showcasing Matthew’s personality and versatility with and through their product line, and we look forward to their support of the NHLPA members representing the USA at the 4 Nations Face-Off,” said Eric Epstein, NHLPA director of sponsorship and player marketing in a statement. “While the players focus on bringing their best on the ice in Montreal and Boston, we know Perry Ellis will have them ready for any occasion off the ice.”

The partnership marks the start of a multiyear collaboration between Perry Ellis and the NHL, with more activations planned beyond the 4 Nations Face-Off and in future NHL seasons.
