Chubbies launches capsule collection with Team USA and Olympic Heritage

Lifestyle apparel brand Chubbies has launched the first of three special capsule collections with Team USA and Olympic Heritage. Part of a wider partnership between the Solo Brands owned brand, the multi-year collaboration kicks off with the Paris Olympics later this month and will run through the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

The debut Team USA x Chubbies capsule collection is designed to pay homage to former champions while acknowledging the future stars within the United States Olympic teams.

Available from today onwards, the first collection features a range of colorful performance polos, tees, tanks, and swim trunks designed to reflect the spirit of the Team USA champions set to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics. The first campaign from the collaboration stars Olympic silver medalist Steele Johnson, whose legacy and vibrant energy capture the collection’s essence.

The second capsule collection is inspired by the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The LA ’84 Olympic Heritage Capsule features five-time Olympic medalist Greg Louganis as the face. Launching on July 22, the second capsule pays tribute to the event and includes lightweight button-up shirts, tees, and swim trunks adorned with vintage-inspired prints that evoke a feeling of nostalgia.

The final capsule launch, the LA’ 28 collection, will be released on August 11 and is meant to celebrate the anticipation of the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. The collection will feature bright tank tops and swim trunks. Chubbis is also set to introduce further designs celebrating Team USA for other games, such as the Olympic Winter Games in Milan, Italy, in 2026.

“We are beyond thrilled to launch the Team USA capsule series,” said Rainer Castillo, co-founder and president of Chubbies, in a statement. “Each part of these Olympic Heritage and Team USA capsules is a heartfelt homage to the incredible achievements of our Olympians and the enduring spirit of the Olympic Games. We can’t wait for our fans to don these unique pieces and join us in celebrating our athletic legacy.”
