Dickies launches limited-edition capsule collection with Green Day
Workwear brand Dickies has partnered with Green Day to create a limited-edition capsule collection in celebration of the 30th anniversary of rock’s band album Dookie.
“We are so excited to work with a band as legendary as Green Day as they celebrate Dookie’s 30th anniversary and their upcoming world tour,” said Troy Kerr, Dickies director of marketing, in a statement.
“As a workwear brand organically adopted by so many, the partnership was a natural fit, aligning with our values and allowing us to develop a collection that celebrates both the band and the hard-working crew behind the scenes.”
Green Day has captivated global audiences with its energetic music and rebellious spirit for decades. Similarly, Dickies is known for its durable, functional workwear, symbolizing the resilience of American workers. The new capsule collection merges classic workwear with bold fashion, embodying the essence of both brands and celebrating the fusion of music, fashion, and culture.
“We’re super excited to be partnering up with Dickies for a really special collaboration this year,” said Green Day in a statement. “We’ve all rocked Dickies as long as we can remember, so teaming up with them to honor 30 years of Dookie and 20 years of American Idiot is pretty rad.”
The Green Day x Dickies collection features a jacket, hoodie and tee featuring designs inspired by iconic imagery from the Dookie album in honor of its 30th anniversary. Select items from the collection are available for purchase on Green Day’s website, with the collection launching in select Urban Outfitters on June 14 and as exclusive tour merch starting July 29.
