Ginori 1735 opens Café Ginori in Bergdorf Goodman
New York department store Bergdorf Goodman has partnered with Italian fine porcelain brand Ginori 1735 to open Café Ginori.
A custom project that sees the porcelain brand continue to branch out into lifestyle, the new café features Italian-inspired dishes and aims to immerse visitors in the Ginori 1735 world.
Featuring the aesthetic and atmosphere as the Ginori 1735 flagship stores, the café includes signatures from the brand across textiles and furnishings.
Unique to Café Ginori at Bergdorf Goodman is the Art of Plating, a distinctive method that transforms traditional dish presentation. Each plate is thoughtfully designed, blending fine porcelain with culinary artistry to create a visually stunning dining experience.
“Ginori 1735 stands for art and beauty. We wanted to create Café Ginori to bring our spirit into the lifestyle world and conceive a new dining experience that – paying homage to the uniqueness of the Italian culinary tradition – surprises at every visit,” said Alain Prost, chief executive officer, Ginori 1735, in a statement. “We are honored to open the doors of Café Ginori in partnership with Bergdorf Goodman, an iconic luxury destination that, like Ginori 1735, firmly looks towards the future.”
Café Ginori is the newest addition to Bergdorf Goodman’s iconic restaurants, each offering a unique experience. “Exceptional service is in our DNA and with the opening of Café Ginori at Bergdorf Goodman we’re thrilled to have this partnership come to life with such a historic brand,” said Melissa Xides, chief retail officer at Bergdorf Goodman, in a statement. “The stunning new destination fuses our strength in luxury experiences with Ginori 1735’s rich heritage of Italian hospitality and exceptional craftsmanship to offer a truly first-of-its-kind concept to our customers.”
The appeal of Ginori 1735 is showcased in every detail of the café, from the creatively reinterpreted Italian classics on the menu to the carefully choreographed plating that highlights the unique porcelain designs. The café was designed to seamlessly transition from a vibrant lunch service featuring the Oriente Italiano collection to a sophisticated teatime and evening aperitivo with the Labirinto collection. A selection of Ginori 1735 items are available for purchase in the café.
Café Ginori at Bergdorf Goodman is located on the retailer’s lower level and is open daily.
